The mildest, drowsiest sister has been known to turn tiger if her sibling is in trouble.  ~Clara Ortega

Considering I just came back from a beautiful and sunny vacation, this weather seems springlike and downright cold.  I rained every day so far this week but we went outside whenever the sun came out.  The kids have been spoiled on pizza and chinese mostly because I hadn’t gone food shopping yet, but we’re back to homemade meals now.  For breakfast we’re having buttered wheat toast, milk and green grapes.

4pm

Ah, what a nice day is was, we had spaghetti & my homemade meat sauce, cut green apples and banana slices with milk for lunch.  We spent all day outside dancing, playing in the sandbox and we started a art project.  Hopefully tomorrow will be nice enough for the sprinkler.

Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air.  ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

We have had a fabulous day!  We were outside right away and the little ones played in the sprinkler, a toddler one.  They loved it!  For breakfast we had cereal, milk & fruit.  For lunch we had pb&j on wheat bread with green grapes and milk.  When the big kids got home they went in the bigger sprinkler I got.  It was perfect, it cooled everyone down and got them nice and sleepy for nap!

Science has never drummed up quite as effective a tranquilizing agent as a sunny spring day.  ~W. Earl Hall

What a gorgeous day!  We have been out all morning!  For breakfast we had cereal, milk & green grapes.  The littles were out until they just about fell asleep outside.  For lunch we had my homemade chicken cutlets, green beans, apple slices , cheese crackers & milk.  After nap I’m sure we’re going right back out!

A good snapshot stops a moment from running away.  ~Eudora Welty

Today should be beautiful so we will be outside as soon as everyone arrives.  For breakfast we had ceral, milk & fresh strawberries.  This morning Rosemarie brought in her bug collection ( she made it herself! ) The kids were fascinated, and to quote one child…”eeeeww!”

But it was really cool, it even had a green cockroach from florida, a huge dragonfly and tiny fleas.

2pm

We had a great morning.  We went out front with the little ones to ride bikes and bounce on the new bouncy cow & horse.  We had a picnic lunch sitting on the grass.  I made pb & fluff on wheat bread, strawberries, green granny apple slices, cheese crackers & milk.    I figured I’d make things that were easy to pick up with your fingers.   The big kids got to play out back also before naptime.  After nap we’re going back out cause it finally feels like May!
